Atlas of Echoes is the first monograph dedicated to the work of Dutch artist Sarah van Rij. The book immerses the reader in her complete body of work, bringing together her black-and-white and color photography, as well as the collages she has created since 2018. It traces the evolution of her practice, from her early beginnings as a photographer to her most recent projects.
Whether captured with a camera or an iPhone, her images explore a wide range of subjects—urban and natural landscapes, everyday objects, and the human figure—while revealing the singular and coherent aesthetic that has become the artist’s visual signature.
Designed in close collaboration with the artist, and featuring an index that offers an analytical yet playful reading of her work, Atlas of Echoes reveals the unique visual language behind Sarah van Rij’s artistic practice.
