Samos is the island of Pythagoras, who, according to legend, pursued his mathematical and philosophical inquiries from inside a cave. He is attributed with the idea that “all things are numbers”.
Samos is now host to one of the European Union’s largest “Closed Controlled Access Centers.” This image was taken at night as patrol boats slowly passed by.
