Bryan Schutmaat is a photographer based in Austin, Texas, whose work has been widely exhibited and published. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, the Aperture Portfolio Prize, and an Aaron Siskind Fellowship.

His prints are held in major collections such as the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Pier 24 Photography, the Rijksmuseum, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He is also the co-founder of the publishing imprint Trespasser.
