Jerry Hsu is an American photographer based in Los Angeles. He first became known as a professional skateboarder, and has been taking photographs of everyday life around him for many years.

How About Never collects photographs Hsu has taken in Los Angeles since 2011. He shows the city's rough, broken side—damaged fences, a stained mattress, crashed cars, a burning bank—next to funny, unexpected scenes and close portraits of people he meets. The book shows Los Angeles as a place where damage and humour, and hope and despair, exist side by side.
