Living Silver, 2026, Florida Everglades, USA. Emma Toma is an American Romanian photographer drawn to the chance encounters that emerge through her travels across the United States. Her work occupies a space between fiction and lived experience, shaped by American mythology, reconstructed memory, and cultural inheritance.

This photograph was made while searching for snakes with my friend Tod, a local python hunter in the Everglades, as part of Living Silver, a series shot over several months of road trips across the United States.
